October’s 31 Days of Writing Challenge - Are You Ready?
A writing challenge to build discipline, ignite your voice, and finish the year unmasked. Those ready are invited to a private group built for accountability.

Some of you have been watching in silence.
Reading, scrolling, nodding along, maybe even whispering to yourself: “I should write. I need to write.”
But you don’t.
You hide.
You let the days pile up into years, waiting for the perfect moment, the perfect words, the perfect reason.
There is no perfect moment. There’s just now.
In July, I wrote every single day. Not pretty, not polished, not with some grand plan. I showed up anyway. And it changed me. Discipline does that. Writing does that.
This challenge isn’t about being a “writer.” It’s about being alive enough to face yourself on the page. To stop hiding from your own voice. To take a chance on yourself instead of staying stuck in the shadows.
What This Is
A 31-day writing challenge for anyone on a healing journey who wants real accountability. I’ll post a single-line prompt each night by 8 PM Arizona time. Using the prompt is optional. The point is to show up and write daily.
How it works
Publish on your own Substack daily (any form counts — journal, poem, song, letter, micro-essay). I recommend 500+ words to give yourself room.
Then share your link for accountability: paste it in our private Google Classroom and/or in the daily Note thread on Audra | Havenleigh Life.
-
I’m writing with you - modeling the practice, not performing.
Private Circle
We’ll use Google Classroom for private check-ins, shares, and encouragement. Prompts drop nightly by 8 PM AZ and Classroom will email you when a new one is up.
House Rules (simple + non-negotiable)
Be subscribed to Havenleigh Life (free or paid).
Kindness and consent-based feedback. Tag [FEEDBACK WELCOME] or [WITNESS ONLY].
Use AI sparingly and ethically. Let it spark ideas, not speak for you.
-
Confidentiality: what’s shared in the private circle stays in the circle.
Start
October 1, 2025 (There are no late signups. You’ll have to wait until November.)
EXAMPLE: Day 1 Prompt - Introduce Yourself
Where are you coming from right now (head, heart, life)?
What’s pushing you to write this month instead of staying silent?
What do you think you’ll write about (themes, questions, memories, truths)?
What do you hope will shift in you by completing this challenge?
Here’s what I’m offering:
31 days of being held accountable.
One daily prompt. (Use it or don’t.)
A private circle in Google Classroom where you can share your post. (Sharing in Substack is also encouraged - but not necessary.)
This is not about talent. Not about perfection. Not about waiting for the muse.
It’s about discipline. It’s about mastery. It’s about finally doing the thing you keep saying you’ll do “someday.”
Someday starts October 1st.
What Happens When You Click that Button
When you sign up, you’ll be taken straight to a Google Form.
That’s where you’ll put your name and email… solidifying your commitment, in writing, to show up for yourself.
As soon as you hit submit, you’ll get the link to our private Google Classroom. That’s where all 30 days will live. Each night by 8 PM Arizona time, I’ll post the next day’s prompt so you can sit with it before you write.
Google Classroom will also be our private circle, our space to check in, share pieces if you want to, and encourage each other. No public eyes, no pressure. Just us.
For those who do want to share publicly, I’ll also post a daily Note here on Substack. That’s your chance to put your work out into the open if you’re ready for it, to let your voice echo beyond the safety of the circle. Both options are valid. Both count. What matters is that you write.
This isn’t just about signing up for a challenge. It’s about saying yes to yourself. To your voice. To finally stepping out of silence.
Are you ready?
