If you stopped by today…
Stay for a moment. Even in motion, there’s meaning.
If you stopped by today…
You’d find me still in a bit of a spiral.
Not fast, but moving.
The kind of motion that doesn’t look like progress from the outside… but I know better now.
It’s just the reality of change.
The house is loud.
The energy is shifting.
And I’m doing my best to keep up with the pace of it all without letting it sweep me away.
I haven’t made it to the gym first thing like I usually do.
But I did make it to yoga yesterday,
and I’m still carrying that breath with me today.
I haven’t gone to the coffee shop,
but I did deep-dive into research on herbs —
the kind that might help my daughter’s chronic illness.
That’s where my mind needed to the last few days.
I haven’t cleaned the kitchen,
but I sat in stillness this morning.
I said my prayers.
I lit my candle.
I remembered who I am.
I haven’t done the laundry,
but I spent time with all three of my grown babies.
Real, present time…
the kind you can’t buy back once it’s gone.
Now that change is here again,
I know I have to hold on to the “but I” moments.
They’re proof that even when I don’t move in straight lines,
I’m still moving in the right direction.
If you stopped by today,
you’d see that I’m still finding my footing,
but you’d also see the quiet strength holding me steady.
It’s not loud. It’s not visible.
But it’s there — always.
Because I am tethered to something bigger.
Tethered to the universe for protection,
for guidance,
for grace.
I don’t need to fight the spiral anymore.
I can let it take me where it needs to go.
I can trust that every turn is still progress.
And if you stood here with me,
you’d feel it, too…
that invisible strength,
that peace that doesn’t announce itself,
but lives in every breath of surrender.

Telling my truth so others feel a little less alone in theirs.
